SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference,Syed Ali Gilani, has expressed deep concern over the plight of Kashmiridetainees languishing in different jails in and outside occupied valley.
In a statement in Srinagar, he said the Kashmiri political detainees arebeing harassed, intimidated and subjected to political vendetta on onepretext or the other.
Syed Ali Gilani said the detainees are ill-treated and humiliated for theiraffiliation with the freedom movement.
Meanwhile, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statementalso expressed serious concern over the unabated human rights violationsincluding harassment and detention of youth and the frequent searchoperations in every nook and corner of the territory.
Hurriyat forum urged the world human rights bodies to take strong notice ofthese human rights violations committed by the Indian forces in occupiedKashmir.
