ISLAMABAD – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability ShahzadAkbar on Wednesday said that the assets worth US$11 billion dollar are in26 countries and the process of bringing back the looted money has beenstarted.
Shahzad Akbar while making startling revelations said that the members ofthe government, who were involved in money laundering, would also be heldaccountable.
The special assistant said that the noose has been tightened against thosewho have properties in Dubai, adding that an agreement will be signed inJanuary for sharing details.
He went on to say that an agreement will soon be signed with Britain tobring back those hiding there, adding that it would be easy to bring thelooted money back once the accused are handed over to Pakistani authorities.
