ISLAMABAD – A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Pakistanand China for the promotion of bilateral cooperation in railways.
Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad and Chinese Vice Ministerfor Railways signed the MoU at a ceremony in Lahore on Tuesday.
Later, addressing a news conference, Sheikh Rashid said both Pakistan andChina are proud of their time-tested friendship. He said we welcome theChinese delegation in Pakistan and also hail their investment in Pakistan.
The Minister termed the signing of the MoU between Pakistan and China forthe development of railways sector in Pakistan as a good omen.
He said four new trains are going to be started on 23rd of this month.
Sheikh Rashid said that invitation has been sent to the Prime MinisterImran Khan for visiting Lahore Railways station.
