ISLAMABAD – Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr. Tariq Banuri sayssteps are being taken to start online degree verification process.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today (Saturday), he saidinformation technology is being promoted thorough Smart UniversityProgramme.
The HEC Chairman said a policy is being devised for the first time toprovide facilities to special students. He said the policy will ensure thatno special student remains deprived of higher education because ofdisability.

He said if any international university wants to establish a university inPakistan, it will be welcomed. However, he said, international universitieswill have to get approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and theInterior Ministry.
