ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Saturdayissued notice to news channels for airing malicious remarks of Nihal Hashmiagainst state institution.
PEMRA takes cognizance of controversial speech of Nihal Hashmi againststate institution in violation of the PEMRA Code of Conduct, said a pressrelease issued here.
PEMRA in its show cause notice issued to all news channels which have airedthe controversial and objectionable remarks of Nihal Hashmi against stateinstitution has asked to show cause within seven days and explain that whythe space was provided to a person who has history of uttering suchcontroversial statements in past.
