LAHORE: At least 40 people have been killed in a suicide attack on a mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the mosque attack as Afghan Taliban do not attack mosques and avoid civilians casualties.
“A suicide bomber entered the mosque in Police District 13 of Kabul city and opened fire on worshippers,” Kabul Crime Branch Chief General Mohammad Salim Almas claimed.
According to the eyewitnesses, women and children were also among the victims of the attack.
No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack so far.
Around 43 Afghan soldiers were killed earlier in a suicide attack on a military base in Kandahar on Thursday.
