ISLAMABAD – The United States is assisting Pakistan to prevent infectiousdisease outbreaks in the country.
In this regard, a five-day workshop titled “Pakistan National One HealthFramework and Strategic Plan Development” culminated in Islamabad today,focusing on zoonotic diseases of national and international significance.
Experts from the two US organizations discussed strategies to control thesediseases during the workshop.
Pakistan recently established a One Health Hub at National Institute ofHealth Islamabad which will support collaboration and coordination betweenthe human, animal, and environment health sectors on infectious zoonoticdiseases.
