ISLAMABAD – US Assistant Secretary Alice Wells Friday reached Islamabad onan unscheduled visit to Pakistan amid rising tensions with Pakistan.
The secretary is expected to hold discussions on planned travel curbs onPakistani diplomats in US and the killing of a citizen involving USmilitary attaché Colonel Joseph in Islamabad.
It may be mentioned that Wells trip to Pakistan is unscheduled.
Pakistan and US bilateral ties have been deteriorating since the new yeartweet from President Donald Trump alleging Pakistan of fooling US on thewar against terrorism.
