MOSCOW: Petroleum Minister Shahid khaqan Abbasi is on an official visit of Russia and leading the Pakistani delegation to Moscow.
He will discus about LNG pipe line project which will be laid from Karachi to Lahore by Russia.
Its length is 1,100 km with a capacity of 12.4 cubic meters per annum.
This is a government to government (G2G) deal worth $2 billion.
Pakistan will provide 15% equity and remaining 85% funding will be provided by a Russian firm.
Pakistan is already working on a similar project from Gwadar to Nawabshah with china.
The first phase of the project would be started in December 2017 as reported by the Russian media sources.
