*ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has urged Muslim Ummah to come forward to helpPalestinian people, who have been suffering from severe human crisis inoccupied territories.*
Addressing the second Conference of the Parliamentary Association forAl-Quds at Istanbul on Monday, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Surisaid Pakistan fully supported the idea for resolution of all internationaldisputes specially Arab-Israel dispute for durable peace in the Middle East.
He said peace in Arab countries was imperative for the peace of whole world.
The deputy speaker said Pakistan’s parliament, government and people hadalways condemned human rights violations in Palestine and brutal killing ofinnocent people of Palestine by Israel forces.
Qasim Suri said Pakistan also raised the Kashmir and Palestine issues atall regional and international forums and condemned the Israel’s aggressionagainst the people of Palestine.
He stressed upon international community to persuade the United States forearly provision of US funds to the United Nations for provision of food,education and health facilities to Palestinian refugees in occupiedterritories Lebanon, Jordan and Syria.
Last month at the UN, Pakistan’s Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi called for aresolution of the Palestinian dispute, describing it as an imperative forregional peace and stability.
Permanent representative of Pakistan at the UN, Lodhi said that the “lackof progress on the Palestinian issue had not only betrayed the hopes andaspirations of generations, but had also sowed the seeds of endlesshostility and discord in the region.”
