ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court of Pakistan gives yet another blow to theabsconder Ishaq Dar.
SC has ordered to remove former finance minister Ishaq Dar as chairman ofthe board of governors of University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, whois a also a absconder in a corruption case.
The apex court issued order on Wednesday while hearing a suo motu casepertaining to the administrative crisis in the UHS.
The court also directed the Punjab government to appoint a new chairmanwithin three days in order to run the varsity affairs.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar, during the hearing, remarked:“A meeting of UHS board of governors, as per the rules, should be conductedevery two years but the last meeting held in 2016″.
The top judge added that Dar had fled abroad avoiding corruption trial,adding that the court had issued red warrants against him after declaringhim absconder.
