ISLAMABAD – Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohamad is coming to Pakistan with biginvestment deals, it has been revealed.
Mahathir Mohamad, the Malaysian prime minister, will arrive in Pakistan ona two-day visit on March 22 and attend the Pakistan Day parade on March 23as the chief guest.
Haroon Sharif, the chairperson of the Board of Investment, said that fouror five Memorandums of Understanding are expected to be signed duringMohamad’s visit.
He said that the officials of 15 Malaysian companies will also accompanythe Malaysian PM, adding that Malaysia and Pakistan are likely to sign MoUsin the car assembling, meat, telecom and stones sectors.
The BoI chairperson added that Malaysian palm oil companies are likely toinvest in the Pakistan food processing industry and PETRONAS, the Malaysianoil and gas company, will establish its office in Pakistan again.
