MIRPUR – Pakistan link Tehreek-e-Insaf, AzadJammu and Kashmirlink, onSaturday expressed grave concern about the recent statement made by IndianlinkChiefof Defense Staff, Bipin Rawatlink wherein heannounced that Kashmiri children will be put in concentration centers wherethey will be de-radicalized.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, the PTIlink AJKlinkGeneralSecretary Raja Musaadiq Khan termed it another cheap trick meant to spreadfear among the people of Jammulink and Kashmir.
“This step was on cards since Augustlink 5 when arbitrarilyIndian-held Jammu link andKashmir statehood were downgraded to a union territory and its Article 35-Awas revoked to pay the way for the settlement of the non-Kashmiri Indianlink into the Held Valleyaimed at to change the demographic character of the Muslimlink majority disputedState”, Khan said.
He feared that these de-radicalization camps might involve confinement ofthe young link Kashmiriboys and girls.
Mussadaq Khan called upon the international community and particularity UNlink SecurityCouncil to take immediate notice of this extremely hostile statement of theIndian link general, bycategorically taking position on this at the UNHCRlink assure Kashmiripeople that it won’t let this tragedy befall on the Kashmiri populace.”This type of statements further aggravates the already fragile situation,he observed. “Therefore, the UNSC should speak for the people of Kashmir asthey are not allowed to speak for themselves. Their alllink leaders, intellectuals,lawyers link have beenthrown behind the bars”, the PTIlink AJKlink leadersaid.
Khan reminded the UNSG that General Rawat has a history of using hard-nosedtactics against younglink Kashmiris.”He is one who gave an award to a major who had tied a younglink Kashmiri manlink to an armylink jeeplink and used him as ahuman shield against stone-throwers just three years ago.
He also publicly expressed wished to kill innocent people saying that “Iwish these people, instead of throwing stones at us, were firinglink weapons at us. ThenI would have been happy.”, the PTIlink AJKlink leaderadded.
