BEIJING – Pakistan may get supersonic missiles which are better than theRussian Indian joint supersonic missile BrahMos.
As per the media report, Pakistan may buy new Chinese supersonic missiledeemed better than the similar BrahMos rocket system developed by India andRussia.
According to report in Global Timeslink, a successful supersonicmissile flight test was conducted on Monday, prompting a Chinese militaryexpert to suggest the system will face little competition on theinternational arms market.
“The test at a discreet location in North China verified the launch, powerand flight control systems, according to a statement released on Monday byGuangdong Hongda Blasting Company,” it said.
All parameters for the supersonic cruising flight of the HD-1 missileachieved their estimated values, the statement said.

“The test flight shows that the HD-1’s core components are now mature, withits aerodynamic design, materials and overall structure already provenviable,” Wei Dongxu, a Beijing-based military analyst, was quoted as sayingby the newspaper on Tuesday.
Hongda independently invested in and developed the HD-1, the statementadded.
The development of the HD-1 is an excellent example of military-civilianintegration, Wei said.
