ISLAMABAD – Senate Standing Committee on Information Technology andTelecommunications has directed Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)to extend deadline for one month about blocking of un-registered IMEImobile phones.
The Committee met with Senator Rubina Khalid in the chair discussed thedeadline of blocking non-compliant devices which was fixed at 20th of thismonth.
The Committee sought more details on the issue and directed PTA to extendthe deadline for one month.
