ISLAMABAD – Over the deadlock in UN Mission extension in Afghanistan,Important developments reported from UN Security Council.

The United Nations Security Council has extended mandate of the UNAssistance Mission in Afghanistan for one year.

According to media reports, it tasks UNAMA to provide outreach as well asgood offices to support Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process.
