LONDON – Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) released a former assistantcommissioner and close aide to late Pakistan Peoples Party’s Makhdoom AminFahim, and his wife for their involvement in money laundering in UnitedKingdom.
According to NCA, Farhan Junejo and his wife were released after a briefarrest. Junejo and his wife are accused of controlling a UK propertyportfolio worth more than RS1.2billion for which they appear to have nolegitimate source of income.
Before their release, the agency said in an official statement that theyhad been supported in their investigation by the National AccountabilityBureau and the Federal Investigation Agency.
