PCB beaks silence over media reports of grouping and rift within Pakistan World Cup Squad

MANCHESTER – Pakistan Cricket Board beaks silence over media reports ofgrouping and rift within Pakistan World Cup Squad.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday rejected the media reports offriction within the team after back-to-back losses in the ongoing World Cuptournament, and said that the entire team is standing behind skipperSarfaraz Ahmed.

The board spokesperson said that the team will soon prove its critics wrongby giving a substantive performance in the remaining four games of thetournament.

“There is no reality in the news related to conflicts between players andthe captain. Media should avoid unnecessary speculations,” said the boardofficial. “Board and players have given fill confidence to Sarfaraz. Thereare tough dressing room talks but there is no grouping. The team wants toperform well in the tournament and they will.” added the PCB spokesperson.

The PCB official said that the players and coach Mickey Arthur sharecordial relations contrary to the media reports.
