LAHORE: Lahore High Court has announced verdict in Khawaj brothers bailpetition in corruption case.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday rejected a bail petition filed byPakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique and hisbrother Salman Rafique in connection to the Paragon Housing Society scam.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najafi was hearing the bailpetition.
On December 11, NAB arrested the Rafique brothers after the Lahore HighCourt rejected their request for an extension in their pre-arrest bail inthe case pertaining to the housing society scam.NAB allegations

Following their arrests, NAB Lahore had issued a press release and statedthat, “Accused Saad Rafique along with his benamidaar wife Ghazala SaadRafique, brother Salman Rafique in association with Qaiser Amin Butt andNadeem Zia established a housing project in the name of Air Avenue whichwas converted into a new housing project namely M/S Paragon City PvtLimited. Record shows that M/S Paragon City is an illegal society.”
“Accused in collusion, connivance and collaboration of Qaiser Amin Butt andNadeem Zia cheated the members of public at large and obtained illegalpecuniary benefits from the funds of said illegal housing project,” itadded.
