China has warned it will take necessary measures to protect its interests if the US imposes tough trade sanctions against Beijing steel and aluminum exports.
This was stated in a statement by China’s Commerce Ministry Director Wang Hejun, while responding to the US report in which recommended imposing heavy tariffs on China and other countries to counter a global glut in steel and aluminum.
He refuted the US report framed concerns about Chinese overproduction in terms of national security and defence. (APP/AFP)
