LONDON: Two Royal Air Force Typhoon aircraft scrambled to intercept Russian bombers heading towards British airspace.
Britain’s Defence Ministry claimed that Russian Tu-160 aircrafts were in UK’s air space.
The British military base of RAF claimed that Typhoon jets were dispatched from the air base after security alert.
RAF spokesperson claimed that Russian aircrafts were in “area of interest”.
RAF reportedly intercepted Russian military planes six times in the past 12 months.

Typhoon jets have been used in the campaign against ISIS in Syria.
