The Deputy Commissioner of Lahore has issued a 30-day detention order forKhadija Shah based on the Superintendent of Police (SP) Cantt and DistrictIntelligence Branch recommendations.
The decision, rooted in her alleged involvement in violent activities onMay 9, was made after a careful examination of the evidence against her.Concerns about potential threats to law and order led to the decision, withauthorities highlighting the risk of disruptive activities.
In response, Khadija Shah’s legal team plans to challenge the detentionorder in the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Despite being granted post-arrest bail in the fourth case related to theMay 9 riots, concerns persist, given the cybercrime case against her forallegedly inciting people against the army during the May 9 violence.
