ISLAMABAD – Sharif family gets a relief from the Supreme Court on Monday.
SC has rejected a petition by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) againstthe Sharif family.
NAB had challenged the Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) decision to heardeposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s plea for his sentence in theAvenfield reference.
Imposing a fine of Rs20,000 on NAB, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP)Mian Saqib Nisar remarked that justice should be served to the petitioners,asking why does the anti-graft body file such baseless petitions.
