ISLAMABAD – The National Assembly of Pakistan adopted a resolution withconsensus which condemns the holding of contest of blasphemous caricaturesin the Netherlands.
The resolution was jointly moved by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, PakistanPeoples Party and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal.
It said the holding of contest will promote extremism and violence acrossthe world.
The text of the resolution urged the government of Pakistan to raise thisissue at appropriate international forums.
The house has now been prorogued.
