ISLAMABAD – Ministry of Law and Justice has drafted bills for presentationto the Parliament which are to be considered by the incoming Cabinet.
The bills were drafted under the guidance of Caretaker Minister for Law andJustice Barrister Syed Ali Zafar.
Chairing a meeting on law reforms in Islamabad today, Barrister Syed AliZafar said during its short period, Law Ministry has finalized the Code ofCivil Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 2018.
The Bill is aimed at expeditious disposal of civil cases withoutcompromising fundamental right of fair trial.
He said the proposals also limit unnecessary discretion of civil courts andrestrict granting of adjournments.
