ISLAMABAD – In a first, former President Asif Zardari admits fake accountsas business accounts which every businessmen in Pakistan keeps.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi on Thursday recordedthe statement of former president and Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman(PPP) Asif Ali Zardari in two of the ongoing inquiries against him where hekept claiming his fake accounts as business accounts.

Asif Ali Zardari was furious on the occasion of fake accounts hearing.While talking to NAB, he said that he is presenting in front NAB for thelast time as of now whether NAB will exist or the economy of Pakistan.

According to the sources, Asif Ali Zardari kept claiming his fake accountsas business accounts and said that everyone in this country has black moneyand business accounts.

NAB has summoned PPP leader on May 23 again. Former president Asif AliZardari has been provided with a questionnaire regarding three inquiriesand directed to bring answers in the next hearing.

Earlier today, The Combined Investigation Team (CIT) of the accountabilitywatchdog, headed by investigation officer Ahmad Saeed Wazir recorded hisstatement during an interrogation for an hour and a half.

The NAB has accused the Zardari Group of committing corruption in the JV(Joint Venture) of Opal 225 project.

After his appearance in the bureau, his defense counsel Farooq H Naek toldthe media that Zardari was not directly involved in the matter.

Yesterday, the former president obtained interim bails in six of thecorruption cases against him from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
