MULTAN – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Thursday announcedestablishment of a sub-secretariat anda separate public service commission for South Punjab to endsense of deprivation of people of the area.In a meeting with delegations of notables from Multan, DeraGhazi Khan and Taunsa Sharif at circuit house Multan, CM Buzdarsaid that a notification had been issued for separate publicservice commission for South Punjab people.Talking to delegates in Seraiki language, the CM said that anadditional chief secretary, additional IGP, and secretaries ofdifferent departments would be posted at the South Punjabsub-secretariat.He announced that work on dual road from Multan to Mianwaliwould begin soon.He said that Safe City project building has been completedin Dera Ghazi Khan while Taunsa Sharif would also be included inthe project.The CM also announced that he would lay foundation of a cadetcollege in Taunsa Sharif during his next visit.The chief minister said that industrial zones would bedeveloped in DG Khan and its under developed Taunsa Shariftehsil.Sardar Usman Buzdar said that a project had been designed tostore hill torrent water in Taunsa Sharif to irrigate crop lands.He said that 63 new schemes for clean drinking waterfacility in Taunsa Sharif would be executed soon while another 75closed projects were being revived.A huge sum of Rs 500 million has been allocated for sewerage schemes inTaunsa Sharif, he said.
