ISLAMABAD – Pakistani PM Imran Khan leaves for another high profileforeign tour.
Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has left for Bahrain today (Monday) on theinvitation of King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa to attend the National Day ofthe country as guest of honour.
According to details, the premier is accompanied by a high-level delegationincluding members of the cabinet and senior government officials. ForeignMinister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Special Assistant to the PM, ZulfiBukhari are also with him .
The PM House stated that Imran Khan will have one-on-one meeting with KingHamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa and delegation-level talks with Crown PrinceSalman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
The exchange of views would cover the entire gamut of bilateral relationsand matters pertaining to regional and international issues. Bahrain’shighest civil award will also be conferred upon the PM on the occasion.
It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan and Bahrain enjoy close cordialties based on commonalities of faith and culture and marked by mutual trustand understanding.
The bilateral relationship is broad-based and multifaceted, coveringdiverse fields including political, trade, commercial, defence,people-to-people contacts.
Frequent high-level exchanges are a hallmark of the relationship. Pakistanand Bahrain closely coordinate in multilateral fora including the UN, OICand GCC.
