ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Russia’s joint military drills will commence inthe mountains of Pakistan from Sunday.
According to Vadim Astafyev, head of the press service of the RussianSouthern Military District, the joint drills will be held at the trainingrange Pabbi area of district Nowshehra and will continue till 4th of nextmonth.
More than 70 mountain shooters from Karachay-Cherkessia will take part inthe drills.
He said the servicemen from the two countries’ armed forces will performtasks at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level.
Russia and Pakistan have been holding the “Friendship” drills since 2016.
In 2017, over 200 servicemen took part in the drills, which were held inthe North Caucasus at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level.
