DUBAI – Eight Pakistanis were sentenced to five years in jail over womentrafficking
They trafficked three Pakistani teenagers into Dubai and forced them intoprostitution, a local media outlet *reportedlink*onSunday.
They were convicted by the Dubai Court of First Instance on Sunday overcharges of human trafficking, sexual exploitation and running aprostitution den.
They are required to pay a fine of $5400 each and will be deported from theUAE after serving their sentences.
The seven men and one woman were apprehended by police after a raid in theAl Baraha area of Dubai.
The three girls, all 17-year-olds, were convinced by the woman to travel toDubai.
