ISLAMABAD – Shahid Khan Afridi has once again called for the betterment ofties between Pakistan and India and vowed to spread the message of peacewhenever possible.
Talking to *Dawn* over the phone from Toronto, the hard-hitting batsmandescribed his recent meeting with Bollywood actor Salman Khan ─ in which,he said, Pak-India ties came under discussion ─ as very cordial.
“We were in agreement that celebrities should play their role towards thebetterment of bilateral ties by speaking positively in the media,” Afridisaid.
“My aim of posting pictures with him (Salman) on social media was thesame,” Afridi, who is playing the local T20 league in Toronto, added.
On his engagements in Canada, the all-rounder said that the organisers ofthe ongoing T20 league wanted to expand the footprints of event across thecountry in which he is helping them.
