LAHORE – A power plant to generate forty megawatt of electricity from solidwaste will be set up in Lahore.
To this effect, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority today approvedthe grant of generation licence to Lahore Xingzhong Renewable EnergyCompany (Private) Limited.
The project will deploy state of the art incineration type generationfacility and the most suitable waste to energy technology.
Successful implementation of the project will solve waste disposal problemsand challenges of limited space for landfills and gas emissions resultingcleaner cities and healthy life.
