TEHRAN – Iran has set an example for the accountability inside the country as the brother of the sitting President of the Iran, Hasan Rouhani has been arrested on the charges of the financial crimes.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s brother Hossein Fereydoun has been arrested after failing to post the bail set for him, a Judiciary spokesman said on Sunday.
Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Eje’i, the spokesman for the Iranian Judiciary, declared in his weekly press conference that Fereydoun, the president’s brother and top aide, was sent to prison after he failed to put up the bail set by the Judiciary on Saturday, according to reports in Iranian media.
Fereydoun was arrested on financial charges.
