TEHRAN – Iranian foreign ministry on Wednesday called for immediate releaseof a journalist arrested in the United States while working for Iran’sEnglish-language state Press TV.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said Iran condemns the illegalarrest of Marziyeh Hashemi, and the inhumane treatment of her in jail inWashington.
No formal charges had been made against her.
