ISLAMABAD – The Supreme Court on Saturday announced its verdict in thedual nationality case.
SC has directed the federal and provincial government to ask civil servantsto either give up their jobs or the other nationality.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice of PakistanMian Saqib Nisar heard the suo motu case pertaining to dual nationalitiesof the government officers and ordered them to make their choice.
“Failure to relinquish their other nationalities within the stipulated timeshould result in legal action,” the court instructed the governments.

In addition to that, the apex court had issued notices to the attorneygeneral and the four advocate generals in this regard.
As the hearing went underway, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)submitted a list of around 1,000 dual nationals holding government offices.
