The Islamabad High Court (IHC) dismissed a contempt of court plea againstNawaz Sharif, the former three-time prime minister and Pakistan MuslimLeague-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo, on Wednesday.
The plea, filed in 2018 by a resident named Adnan Iqbal, was related toanti-judiciary remarks made by Nawaz Sharif after his disqualification.
Adnan Iqbal’s contempt of court petition accused Nawaz Sharif ofconsistently disrespecting the judiciary and other state institutionsthrough media channels.
