SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir,massive clashes broke out in different areas of Baramulla and Srinagar on Sunday against latest incidents of braid chopping in the two districts.
Protesters blocked Baramulla-Uri highway. Police lobbed teargas shells to quell the demonstrators injuring several of them.
The protesters demanded immediate end to harassment of women.
Meanwhile,Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its Jammu counterpart, have said that mischievous elements are behind incidents of braid cutting to create chaos in the territory.
Addressing a press conference at KCCI office in Srinagar, members of both the chambers expressing concern said mobs and vigilante groups attacking visitors and migrant workers are not signs of a civilized society.
