KARACHI – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) newly elected provinciallawmaker Imran Ali Shah, who thrashed a motorist in middle of a Karachiroad, reached the victim’s house and apologised over his action, hoursafter the video of the incident went viral.
Shah, a new MPA of the Sindh Assembly, along with PTI’s Karachi chapterPresident Firdous Shamim Naqvi, went to Daud Chuhan’s residence on Tuesdaynight seeking forgiveness.
Chauhan, who is the senior additional director for coordination at theCivil Aviation Authority (CAA), forgave the PTI leader, saying he cannotsend a person back empty-handed who comes to my door.
Daud, who is still unsure why the MPA beaten him up, hoped: “PTI chiefImran Khan will serve justice in the matter as the ball is now in hiscourt”.
Maintaining his innocence in the matter, the victim said that Shah’svehicle was hit by another motorist and not by him.
“We had resolved the matter whereafter Imran Ali Shah slapped me,” he said,adding that he did not want to take legal action the MPA. Shah is wealthyand powerful as he has dozens of guards, the victim said.
