ISLAMABAD – The inside story of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s newsconference has revealed that why the news conference did not go live onstate TV and who was responsible for that.
It has been revealed that the data of his speech was deleted from PTVrecord while the whole process took place in the supervision of InformationMinister Marriyum Aurangzeb.
The news conference was held a day before after the meeting of NationalSecurity Committee (NSC) following the controversial remarks of PML-Nsupreme leader Nawaz Sharif about the 2008 Mumbai attacks. PM also metSharif prior to the conference.
The record of the entire news conference is now only in the possession ofMarriyum Aurangzeb.
After PM ‘s presser, the PTV staff was restricted in the premier’s officer.They were then asked to prepare the DVDs of the news conference after whichthe camera recording was obliterated.
Once the minister took hold of the DVDs, the staff was allowed to leave. Itis pertinent to mention here that the news conference was not aired on anychannel including PTV.
