ISLAMABAD – At a time when all the celebrities are congratulating MehwishHayat for being chosen for Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, She has been hit with newcontroversy in media.
Fellow actors of Mehwish are celebrating her for the big achievement.However, social media has been abuzz over Mehwish being chosen for thecountry’s highest honour.
Soon after she was chosen for the prestigious award, keyboard warriors onsocial media came out with their uncalled daggers and a war of wordscriticizing Mehwish began online. Some questioned as to what the actresshas really done to deserve this award.
Even an online publication took a sharp dig at the actress, questioningMehwish’s ‘character’. Mehwish, who had kept her silence over the onlinecriticism, lashed out at the publication on Twitter and threatened themwith legal action if they do not withdraw the article and give her awritten apology.
The host-turned-politician Aamir Liaquat has brought up a whole anotherissue with the actress and ranted about it on Twitter.
