ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office said on Saturday that it has established ahotline to facilitate contact with the stranded Pakistani students andcommunity members in China’s coronavirus-hit Wuhan.
The development came a day after the Islamabad High Court heard a petitionfiled by the parents of the Pakistani students stuck in China. The Highcourt, while stating that it would not interfere with the state policy, hadasked the government to provide concrete assurance to the families of thoseaffected.
Today, FO spokesperson Aisha Farooqui announced on Twitter that it hadestablished a hotline to facilitate the parents or guardians of thePakistani students.

Earlier, Pakistani students in China had said that they were terrified andwere “being kept in one room.” It was learnt that a few of the students hadbeen tested for coronavirus amid a hysteria that had spread throughout theworld.
During the hearing on Friday, IHC’s Justice Minallah informed thegovernment officials that Pakistani students themselves had reached out tothe court for help.
