ISLAMABAD – The Hip Hop star Akon, part of the World Soccer Stars 2019, hasgiven a heads up to start contributing for the construction of Bhasha andMohmand Dam Fund.
The star singer expressing his concern over the water scarcity issue facedby Pakistan has urged the whole of Pakistan and overseas Pakistanis tocontribute as much as they can to the dam fund.
He himself along with Touch Sky Group will collect the funds for theconstruction of these dams.
In a special message Akon took to the social media and spoke the urgencyand the need for the dams “This is a special message from me to Pakistan.
According to a report issued by UN water resources will dry up in Pakistanby 2025. I’m encouraging all the Pakistan and all the Pakistanis around theworld to support this Bhasha and Mohmand dam, I am in support andsupporting the Touch Sky Group to raise the funds in the development of allthese dams.
So let’s mobilize Pakistan to a better future along with the worldsuperstars,” he added.link

Earlier, Akon in 2015 launched a solar project aimed to provide electricityto 600 million Africans and has risen up to a billion dollars to financeprojects in Africa.
The Grammy Award winner will be visiting Pakistan along with the WorldSoccer Stars 2019 in April.
