Rocket lands in Kabul Green Zone after UNSC members leave Afghanistan

KABUL – After the Indian media claims of rocket attack at its embassy inKabul the Afghan media has reported that a rocket landed in Kabul’shighly-protected area, the green zone, on Monday evening, InteriorMinistry’s deputy spokesman Nusrat Rahimi confirmed.

Rahimi said the rocket had no casualties.

The rocket landed in 14th Street of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan close toCanadian Embassy in Kabul’s PD10, he said.

This comes hours after the United Nations Security Council (UNSC)delegation left the country after a two-day visit to Kabul.

During the visit of the delegation in Kabul, the main roads ending togovernment offices, including the presidential palace were closed totraffic for security purposes.

Wazir Akbar Khan area which is also know as the green zone was closedduring the stay of the delegation in Kabul.
