TEHRAN – Thirteenth session of the Parliamentary Union of Islamic Countries(PUIC) will begin in Tehran on Tuesday.
A seven-member National Assembly delegation led by Speaker Sardar AyazSadiq is representing Pakistan in the annual gathering of parliamentariansfrom fifty-six Muslim countries.
Ahead of the session, the Standing Committees on Political andInternational Affairs and the Committee on Human Standing Rights, Women andFamily Affairs unanimously passed two resolutions on Kashmir moved byPakistani delegation, which will be given final approval in the session.
The resolutions highlight the gross human rights violations and continueddenial of freedoms to Kashmiris by the Indian forces.
