In a rare such acknowledgement, Afghan Ambassador praises Pakistan role in counter terrorism

*QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan and Governor of theprovince Amamullah Yasinzai on Thursday held a meeting with AfghanAmbassador to Pakistan, Shukrullah Atif Mashal, and discussed matters ofmutual interest.*

The dignitaries also discussed ways to improve trade ties between the twocountries.

During the meeting, Governor Balochistan said long-lasting peace wasinevitable for sustainable development in the province. He told the Afghanenvoy that tourism would soon replace terrorism in the region.

He said eradication of poverty was only possible through economicactivities.

Meanwhile, Jam Kamal Khan said TAPI gas pipeline project was equallybeneficial for the neghibouring Afghanistan.

Afghan ambassador said Pakistan was playing key role against terrorism. Healso thanked Pakistan authorities for hosting Afghan immigrants.

Last month, Afghanistan Ambassador Shukrullah Atif Mashal, had met Chief ofArmy Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters andmatters of mutual interest and regional security particularly Afghanistanpeace process came under discussion.

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for ongoing Afghanpeace process.
