Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed reveals reason for defeat again South Africa

*ISLAMABAD – South Africa has whitewashed Pakistan 3-0, after Proteas endedPakistan’s resistance with a 107-run win on the fourth day of the third andfinal Test at the Wanderers Stadium on Monday. *

Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed ruled that the team was unable to capitalize afteroverpowering the opponent on the first day. “We were in a very nicesituation after the first day, but we just didn’t capitalize with the bat.Their bowlers bowled really well,” said Sarfraz at the post matchconference.

The series was a nightmare for Pakistan, especially for its batting whichcrumbled regularly during the series. However, this did not hamper him fromachieving personal records. Talking about it, the skipper said, “The recordnumber of dismissals I have is all because of my hard work and the work thecoaches have put in on me,” he said.

Sarfraz set a new wicket-keeping record during the third day of the finalTest match against South Africa on Sunday. The skipper took 10 catches inthe on-going Test match and surpassed Australia’s Adam Gilchrist and formerIndian captain, MS Dhoni, to become the only wicket-keeper captain to reachthis feat.
