ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led federal government hastaken important decision over ending the water storage deficiencies inPakistan.
PTI government is reportedly considering the construction of 19 dams toenhance water storage capacity of the country in order to address thelooming water crisis.
The 19 large and medium water reservoirs the federal government is mullingto construct also include the controversial Kalabagh Dam, which may stir areaction in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The English-language daily, Pakistan Today, while quoting unnamed sourcesin Ministry of Water Resources said the government is considering toconstruct 19 dams including the Kalabagh Dam.——————————
