Former PM Nawaz Sharif summoned by Supreme Court in yet another case

ISLAMABAD – Former PM Nawaz Sharif has been summoned by the Supreme Courtof Pakistan yet again.

As per the media report SC summoned former prime minister Nawaz Sharif toappear before the court on December 4 in a case pertaining to allotment ofgovernment’s land in Pakpattan in 1985.

Sharif, as Punjab chief minister, had allegedly allotted 1,800kanal land of Auqaf around Pakpattan shrine to an individual in violationof the high court order.

Last month, the top court had directed the former prime minister to submita reply within two weeks after Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar took suo motonotice over illegal construction of shops on Pakpattan shrine’s land.
