Senior leader of the Muslim League and Senator Irfan Siddiqui has claimedthat former Prime Minister and head of the PML-N, Nawaz Sharif, can performa “technical landing” in Islamabad on October 21 during his return to thecountry from Lahore.
He stated that Nawaz Sharif is expected to arrive in Islamabad on October21, two days before his return from the United Arab Emirates, and a programis in place for his landing at Allama Iqbal Airport. “A small connectingflight could also be added on October 21, but this surveillance shouldcontinue,” he said.
According to their charter plan, there is no need for Nawaz Sharif’s planeto stay in Islamabad for refueling as they are arriving from Dubai, andthey will land in Islamabad for “some legal matters.” They would stay inIslamabad only if they had received protective bail from the Islamabad HighCourt before reaching the city.
This matter is currently being kept confidential, and as of now, there isno information regarding their landing in Islamabad, even through PIAsources. It is also being speculated that they might be staying inIslamabad for a very important meeting.
