Apple announced new devices and technology during its annual pressconference. They introduced a new service called “Roadside Assistance viaSatellite” for the first time, which provides help when there is no signalavailable, combining emergency SOS and Find My via satellite features.
Readers may recall that with iPhone 14 smartphones and Watches, featureslike “Emergency SOS” and “Find My via Satellite” were previously introducedfor situations where there is no cell tower signal, and these features arenow available in 14 countries.
Currently, “Roadside Assistance via Satellite” is only available in theUnited States. It allows contacting assistance directly via satellite,connecting with organizations that provide roadside help.
